Disposable Undersink Water Filter System. Water travels through 6 stages of filtration to eliminate the impurities of tap water. Quick and easy to install, attractive and convenient, eliminates hundreds of contaminants from water. No maintenance, no cartridges to replace. This solid-state water filter uses the latest technologies that blend absorption capabilities of coconut shell activated carbon with REDOX. Water travels through 6 stages of filtration: * Stage 1 - one micron filter pads, removing suspended particles such as silt, sediment, cyst, sand, rust and other un-dissolved matter * Stage 2 and 3 - a mix of KDF-55D and KDF-85D to remove chlorine, reduce iron and hydrogen sulfide via oxidation-reduction (REDOX) chemistry * Stage 4 - ion exchange resin, reduces heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminium, and water hardness. * Stage 5 - GAC granular activated carbon. Carbon is one of the most effective absorbants, reduces a wide variety of contaminants such as chlorine (99.9% removed), chemicals linked to cancer (THM, benzine), pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, VOCs (volatile organic compounds), PCB's, MTBE's, reduce bad taste and odor. * Stage 6 - another 1 micron filtration pad.
