Jungle Bubble

Jungle Bubble On YouTube.

Presenting "Jungle Bubble", my entry into the Aquatic Gardeners' Association 11th Annual Aquascaping Contest (2010). It's about 31 liters in total volume (I think I said 35 by mistake) and 40 cm in diameter. This bowl requires no filtration, as the plants provide it themselves. The water is still crystal clear after a week. Apart from light (11W fluorescent and 4W LED, both from IKEA, 13 hours/day), CO2 (about 0.7 bubbles/second for 10 hours/day), and Tetro Pro Colour food, I add only Seachem Potassium, Iron, and Trace, in doses of about 50-100% of advised levels, once or twice a week, depending on plant health and algae level. Algae does slowly accumulate as pinpricks on the glass, which I remove during my weekly maintenance cycle, along with any plant leaves that I choose to trim. I change about 80% of the water per week, not because it needs so much, but because it allows me access to the plants at the bottom of the bowl for trimming. Fish: 3 cardinal tetras, 2 ember tetras, 2 blue ram cichlids, 2 otocinclus catfish, and 2 Yamato (Amano) shrimp. I feed them once a day in an amount that can be eaten in about 10 minutes. I have no heater, as I live in the tropics. (Contrary to what I said in the video, I suppose my temperature is stable enough year-round, although I don't have a way to place the bowl in the sun and keep it cool enough.) A word of warning: as you can see in my other video about silvertip tetras (which were sent back to the store for bad behavior), this ...

Everpure water filters are the best quality?

Everpure water filters are the best quality?

Water Filter

Everpure water filters are the best quality or value? If effective removal of contaminants fits your definition of quality, some of their models are of good quality, but not the best.

It 'easy to see that the company does not offer the best prices. Their cheapest model costs $ 359.99, not to remove THMs, VOCs and other carcinogenic chemicals, and replacement cartridges cost more than $ 100. Other systems remove all these things and more, the cost modelsReplacement cartridges cost $ 124.99 and $ 48. It is a sort of "snap."

The Everpure water filter the effective removal of contaminants (those that reduce THM and other carcinogens) have cost nearly $ 800. Why so much? One reason is the inclusion of a reverse osmosis step. Technological advances have this step is an unnecessary expense, but some producers still there.

At a time when the RO was the best way to remove cysts and lead. It 'was used inThe areas in which the content is high in minerals, salt or arsenic was a problem. But Everpure water filters are not designed for use in rural areas that could have this kind of problems. They are designed for use by people who are conceived through a public treatment plant.

Reverse osmosis does not eliminate the carcinogenic chemical contaminants mentioned above, the ever-pure and companies such as adding additional measures to address these problems. You do not have the mostadvanced technologies, even if their prices are so high.

Today, even the less expensive systems to remove cysts on the market. You only need a system that is certified to filter up to a shop of a micron. The best filtration systems up to half a micrometer. Can be cysts, as you may know, cause water-borne diseases that prove fatal to those who have poorly functioning immune system. These are tiny parasitic organisms that are resistant to chlorine and other disinfection methods.

EconomicSystems will also remove lead by ion exchange. If you compare the performance data of the product, you will see that some systems to remove more than 99% of all traces of the dangerous heavy metal. Ion exchange also improves the taste of water, through the exchange of metal ions on the sodium and potassium ions. It makes your water taste comes from a source. Many bottlers add these minerals to improve the taste.

Water systems that have a reverse osmosis step, are relativelytasteless. For most people that makes them think of old or stale water. Our taste buds recognize the freshness through the recognition of the taste of minerals. We prefer the cold water, because it is less likely that the bacterium is present.

Everpure water filters only reduce the range of about 98%. The state of corporate documents, which reduces to the "level of federal action." This level is not considered safe for regular consumption in the long term. No amount of lead, no matter how small, is suitable for consumption.
