Faucet Water Filters Can Purify Your Drinking Water By Removing Chlorine & Many Harmful Contaminants

Faucet Water Filters Can Purify Your Drinking Water By Removing Chlorine & Many Harmful Contaminants

Water Filter

Investing in one of the many faucet water filters on the market is the best way to ensure that the water you drink is clean and safe. Many consumers feel that there's no need to invest in a filter when they can buy bottled water from their local grocery store. Unfortunately, what many of these consumers don't know is that bottled water isn't really much safer than your everyday tap.

This may come as a shock, but there are no government standards that require bottled water to be safer or purer than your everyday tap water. Basically, that means you are paying more for bottled when it's essentially the same as what you can drink from home, oftentimes even worse. In the long run, owning your own filter will allow you to save money and have healthier water available all of the time.

There are over 2,000 cancer-causing contaminants in our water. Unfortunately, with the production of more man-made chemicals, the toxicity will only continue to get worse. Before the invention of these chemicals, the population had a 1 in 50 chance of getting cancer. Since the creation of these chemicals, water consumers now have a 1 in 3 chance of getting cancer. Faucet mounted water filters are a wonderful way to purify the water used for drinking and cooking.

Another great benefit of quality faucet water filters, is that they remove contaminants without stripping the water of the natural trace minerals our bodies need, like distillers and reverse osmosis systems do. These two types of filters give you de-mineralized water with a very acidic pH, which is highly unhealthy.

One of the best faucet water filters you can purchase is a twin cartridge system. A quality filter will have a dual system that uses a combination of carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub-micron filtration. This produces healthy and great tasting water. Even better, it can be available at the convenience of your kitchen tap, by hooking up directly to your faucet, or being installed under the sink.

These multi-stage faucet water filters are a wonderful investment because two cartridges are more effective at purifying water. The first stage removes chlorine, sediment and other microscopic particles. The second stage then removes lead and volatile organic chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides and industrial solvents that can be damaging to your body.

As stated earlier, dual filter systems make great water. However, there are some faucet mounted water filters that also add potassium. When potassium is added to water, it enhances the mineral balance, which gives water a natural spring-like taste. If you're looking for that extra bonus for your water, this is the way to go.

If you still feel like faucet water filters are unnecessary, think about this--there is no new water. This means that what goes down our drain gets recycled for future use. Yes, this also includes what gets bottled for sale. Due to the lack of standard regulations concerning the purity of water, the equipment used at your local water facility remains very primitive.

When you understand that low-grade equipment produces low-grade water, the importance of faucet mounted water filters becomes quite clear. The best way to have pure water on a regular basis is by investing in a filter for your home.

Remember, the best faucet water filters are the ones that eliminate contaminants using a dual filtration system. These filters use a combination of carbon filtration, ion exchange and sub-micron filtration to effectively remove chlorine, lead, volatile organic compounds, MTBE and other chlorine resistant chemicals. There is nothing wrong with investing in a more basic product, but if you want a truly effective product, this multi-stage process gives you more for your money.

In order to make a wise investment in faucet mounted water filters, it is best to ask the distributor for a performance data report. Doing so will prove a company's reputability as well as the product's reliability.

A reputable company will want to prove that they can provide the best faucet water filters. Therefore, they will want to assure you that they have the proof to back it up. If you find a company unwilling to oblige, steer clear and find a distributor you can trust.

Your health is important and owning faucet water filters for your home can help you maintain it. When you have control over what you put into your body, you can easily improve your quality of life.

Tesla Turbine baptize pump

Tesla Turbine baptize pump On YouTube.

Tesla pump powered by a 1/3hp die grinder at 90psi working pressure. 9 disks 1.5" diameter. I am using the air grinder to power the pump. This is just a water pump, not free energy or anything special. This is a proof of concept that a flat disk can move a fluid very efficiently. I now use variable electric motors to power the pumps. Check my channel for more pump demos.

Gas Water Heater Installation

Gas Water Heater Installation Video Clips.

Learn how to replace a gas hot water heater with the step by step instructions in this video. You will need wrenches and other common plumbing tools. You will also need pipe joint compound or Teflon® tape. You can make gas leak detection solution with children's soap bubbles or dish washing liquid. For copper pipes, you can purchase an installation kit that does not require soldering. First, make sure the gas supply and gas control knob have been turned off. Let the hot water run until cool. Drain the water from the hot water heater. Remove the discharge pipe from the old temperature and pressure relief valve. Disconnect the vent pipe and union and remove the gas pipe. If soldering pipe, do not solder pipes while they're attached to the water heater. Instead, solder to an adapter and install the adapter with pipe joint compound or Teflon® tape. Install a thermal expansion tank. Check the home's water pressure. Attach the discharge pipe. Do not cap or plug the discharge pipe. Install the new draft hood and attach the vent pipe. Install the gas pipe. Turn the gas supply on and check for leaks. Correct any leaks and retest. Turn the cold water supply on and check for water leaks. Open a hot water faucet and allow the water to run full for 3 minutes. Install the air filter and vacuum occasionally. A Guide to Shower Filters For Hard Water

A Guide to Shower Filters For Hard Water

Water Filter

You may want shower filters for hard water, but you also want to remove hazardous chemicals that vaporize during a hot bath. In the enclosed area of the bathroom, we inhale these chemicals and scientists believe that increases our risk of cancer.

You also want to remove chlorine, if it's present. Chlorine also vaporizes and inhalation is irritating to the sinuses, as well as the entire respiratory system. The chemical vapors are known to trigger asthma attacks. That's one reason that indoor swimming pools are closed if chlorine levels climb too high.

The best shower filters for hard water combine ion exchange to balance mineral content and soften. This step also removes traces of metals like lead and copper that seep in from the pipes. Metallic traces dull the hair and exposure to lead is never safe.

Granulated carbon will remove chlorine and some of the other chemicals, but a process called adsorption is needed to remove as many chemicals as possible. Specifically, it removes chlorination byproducts. Those are the ones that cause cancer.

The prices of shower filters for hard water vary greatly. Believe me. You don't need the most expensive product on the market to get the best performance.

Some people recommend reverse osmosis. That's an expensive and largely unnecessary step, even for drinking water filtration. It also creates gallons of wastewater and there are no units specifically designed for your showerhead. You'd have to get one for the whole house.

Whole house filters are sometimes a good idea, but generally speaking, your showerheads and your kitchen faucets are most important. There's no particular reason to filter the waters for the toilet or even the laundry. You can always add water softeners to the laundry.

Some people recommend a brand called Wellness. There's no real reason to go to that expense, either. They make some scientific claims that they can't back up with hard evidence. There biggest claim to fame is that they are supposedly used in the number one health spa in the world, but I couldn't verify that, either.

The best shower filters for hard water have been evaluated and rated by Consumer Reports. The company provides certified product performance data before you buy. The cost of use is pennies a day and the replacement filter lasts a full six months.

In case you have a hard time remembering when it's time to change your filter, the company offers automatic shipment and discounts for signing up. There are many ways to save money. Buying direct from the factory is one easy way.

You want a product that is easy to install and unlikely to leak, simply to avoid frustration. If you're tall, you also want one that does not reduce the height of the showerhead.

The right shower filters for hard water will protect your health, as well as prevent that scaly build up on your bathroom fixtures. Just be sure to shop carefully, so that you don't end up disappointed.

How To Build a Rain Barrel for CHEAP

How To Build a Rain Barrel for CHEAP Video Clips.

Step by step instruction on how to make the cheapest and easiest rain barrel. Learn as I make it in real time. You'll be able to find a food-grade barrel in your area and make one of these for real cheap. The parts are available at hardware and irrigation stores. Step 1: Buy a food grade barrel or container. Step 2: Modify the lid so water can be diverted into the barrel. Include filter, like window screen. Step 3: Drill a 3/4" hole near the bottom with a spade bit. Step 4: Thread a 1/2" sediment faucet into the barrel. Don't overtighten. Step 5: Install an overflow. Step 6: Add rain water. Rainbarrels are perfect for urban survival, since water would be THE most challenging resource in a time of crisis. They're also great for gardens and lawns (though you can't eat a lawn). Plants prefer harvested rain water over cold, chlorinated hose water. Save money and grow more food by collecting nature's bounty. It's not uncommon for one of these barrels to fill in under 15 minutes. I've got four on one downspout and they all fill in a "good" rain. The best way I've found to connect them is at the bottom, with additional taps. That way they all fill at the same rate and can all be drained from one outlet. Some people have made used harvested rain water for include solar showers, flushing toilets, power washers, drinking and cooking, drip irrigation, gardens, green houses (greenhouses), orchards, livestock (cows, horses, goats, pigs), ponds, hot tubs, pools, washing cars, compost ...
